Golem's Path to the Presidency
Golem watched a lot of Fox News as it was the only thing available on the black market connection to his room. He liked the way they reported on crime, though he didn't think things like that should be viewed like soap operas. And more and more, heinous crime seems to be providing entertainment. It's as if we've become immune to people getting shot each day, and only wake up if we are shot ourselves. Then there is Sean, who decided months before Obama was elected that he was the cause of the infrastructure crash, denying the fact that his party led us to it, was in fact the party in power for the last eight years. Weeks after the stock market crashed, Sean was busy spouting off about how it was because Obama was nominated. Now we see the same people claiming that only the big cars make money, this while they all went out of business on the big truck concept. I saw a German guy laughing and saying everyone knew that an auto company can't make it on trucks alone. Wasn't it in the seventies that we were supposed to conserve fuel, and mileage limits were set, then never really implemented much, or made stricter. Somehow fifty miles to the gallon would seem like something to squawk about. Now, were going on thirty. It's fairly obvious that Detroit intended to suck all the oil out of the sphere before they looked seriously at another option. Then a Texan leaves us with high gas prices, a parting gift to the state of Texas, Shell. They say fire off those missiles, and why wouldn't they since their clan makes a fortune on the military stocks. If there not used they might not be necessary. I looked at the stock of an airplane repair company the other day that has military contracts. The chart looks like something people saw before 2000, before the crash. It's absolutely booming.
