It was Here that the Tiny Fingers Appeared
It is here that the little hand first appeared, so small at first that Jack had to get a magnifying glass out to make sure what he saw was really there. He didn’t really take note of it until most of five fingers were up and out of the page. At first he thought it was a misplaced punctuation mark on the page and tried to delete it. Then he printed a page and saw that the five little marks were still there and that they mostly covered up one letter on the page. It was when he looked at the little lines beneath the magnifying glass and expanded the page that he knew something weird was happening. On the tips of each little line were the unmistakable impressions of fingernails. If he had started hearing the voices in his head already, he may have at that point just dropped dead. And what really infuriated him was that later the little guy told him that it looked pretty boring in chapter six. At that point he wanted to squash the little head that had popped through the paper and later he did indeed try to kill him. Especially when the little twerp said he had read the prologs and all the gobbledygook and had no idea what the book was about. Jack was tempted to whip out his hunting knife and whack off the little fingers he saw touching his book.
