Thailand Travel Hint: Light Up Your Hut Life

I like to write. I like to stay in huts on the edge of the sea. At night the porch can be dark, so I give them light. In order to do this and in order to enjoy sitting on the porch and do any activity that requires light (most people like a little light after a while) you need to bring a few accessories from home.

1. Long extension cord, multiple outlets good.
2. A bulb socket adaptor with plug outlets on the side.
3. One socket on the end of a long cord.

Having all three of the above is a kit that will allow you to make coffee or use a notebook computer etc. These things can be hard to find on the islands. The socket adaptor is definitely a challenge, so bring one from home.

People always envy my lighting when they see my hut. Oh, yeah. One more thing. Use those mosquito repellent coils to keep those critters off the porch.
