They Had Survived the Third Sun

The horizon watchers knew they had to survive. Somehow had to get a message to the ship that some of them had survived the end of the third sun. They had to get off the planet before the fourth sun was done. Before earth once again crossed the meteor zone. They built huge statues of themselves and drew giant pictures in the desert. They were stranded on a planet and all around them were people who had forgotten how they lived. Who had no idea where they had come from and no idea where they were going. One of them tried to teach them that they could live as man and wife in what used to be called a family unit, but some of the men thought it best not to reconstruct that part of society.
